So I wanted to make a update as to what I have been up to. So it has been almost a full year since I have started the dive into graphics/game programming. And this year has been full of learning math and learning c++. And so far I have made a ton of progress. I started in January knowing no more than basic algebra. and little about c++.

So this week I wanted to talk about something that I feel probably a lot of people go through. And that's when you first set out for a goal you have all this initial burst of motivation. And as time goes on you realize its a lot harder than you thought it was going to be. You may even feel like why is this not happening over night type of thought.
So I wanted to talk about self discipline vs motivation and why one will always win. And the other will lead you to fail. The other night I was talking with a friend. And we were discussing how self discipline is how we have been able to keep going with our paths. And how while motivation is a good tool for picking your self up at times. Its not something that you want to use to keep your self on track.

This week I wanted to talk about goals. Specifically how you should be keeping track of your progress toward your goals. I have been playing around with this for a while now. And I have come up with a solution that has been working for me.
This week I want to talk about something that I have used for a excuse quite a few times. Before I finally started getting a schedule going. And that is saying the excuse I don’t have time to learn blank.
when should you quit your current job to pursue your goals. I see postings all the time of how people quit their job saved up money for x time and begin working toward there goal of getting a better career. I want to talk about the other half of this for a minute of is this really a smart move?
This week I decided to talk about a couple of things that I feel like probably a lot of you might go through on your way to getting where ever it is you want to get to. And that is that burn out feeling or lack of motivation after the fun of doing something turns into well work. And having the patience to get to your goal.
It has been about 5 months now. Since I started making the change to pursue graphics programming. I have done a ton of work in that time. Between school and learning a new language and studying a whole lot of math. And in this time, I have decided why not start documenting my process.
