BesworksMar 18, 2025Actually, per the spec, you don't even need a TLD for a valid email address.
root@localhostis still valid, though only locally. For a signup form or something like that you definitely want to only allow valid internet email addresses. But technically, the domain can contain any number of dot-atom components.
