Yea, I have a feeling that his pc is about to die. Also, don't you think it's ironic that AI is roasting itself?
I only do it w/ non coding stuff (papers, my huge passwords spreadsheet, photos, etc)
But you changed the functionality.
The original code was designed to fail on 2,000,000, 4,000,000 etc. and not return anything, your code now does return for these values. :-(
haha.
Way too often... especially when in most terminals just highlighting some text will copy it, no keystrokes necessary.
Oooh yeeah, I tell it off all the time. And make sure to point out that a jr would probably have blindly followed the bad advice. Then thumbs down the response.
If you use the #codebase tag it tends to try and match your own style more and if you put style guidelines in a DEVELOPMENT.md file it will do a bit better at this.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
There is actually a good reason for saying thanks.
If enough people say thanks, and OpenAI or Google uses all your chats for training data, then hopefully the AI will be nicer (because the training data is nice).
I had this thought the other day, that as users learn that what makes people civilised people in society (saying "please", "thank you"...) is not needed for chatGPT, they will unlearn to say these words in real life.
So, chatGPT will not only cause the downfall of programming, but also of social norms.
I wrote an articlehot-take on this subject. Feel free to carry on the discussion there.

I think Meme Monday is always a good laugh for me, low-key feels like the best way to start a week.

Stolen from Reddit…
Create a mugshot photo of a peculiar criminal inspired by the personality of the Reddit user ksolomon. Incorporate unique elements from the username into their appearance and crime. The crime should be an outlandish, hilarious scenario—no boring charges like possession or theft. Think of something absurd and creative that fits the vibe of the username. The mugshot should feature a standard backdrop, with the username and the phrase "charged with" followed by a funny, detailed charge (not generic) displayed in the caption.
