When you cross post, are you simply creating a post in each place and adding the same content (copy and paste)?

Yes, purely copy and paste. Sometimes, depending on where I crosspost, I can improve the look of the texts or code blocks.

Thanks for confirming! This gives me a strategy to start blogging and get my content out to several places.

Thanks for confirming! It seems obvious but I wondered if people had a secret for maintaining their content across multiple platforms. The answer is to keep track and make sure all sources align!

You need to just set the canonical URL for the post to tell search engines where is the original source.
