Hello Dev Team,

Could you guys please look into updating the spam filter as this is destroying my news feed.

I have already reported all those threads and it keeps appearing.

Spam Filter Rules Examples:

  • Limit the number of posts that can be posted after registration
  • Simple title analysis (removing numbers) will reveal the similarity percentage to be high (60%+)
  • Auto ban or disable posting when more than 5 articles are published in less than an hour
  • Check age of account vs post rate
  • Add re-captcha to the publishing action

      Thanks for your help everyone. We are working on banishing these and the team is working on a longer-term solution to weed these spam accounts out before they can enter your feeds in the first place.

      In the meantime, my sincerest apologies for your feeds getting so clogged up.

    Agree - in moderating everything I see when I wake but there is far too much and to be honest it feels as though it's doing nothing to help.

      I think some rules could be made looking at the accounts they were all created today and posted over 20 articles in less than few hours all containing the same keywords.
      Captcha could also be used when publishing a post.
