Hey devs and designers! 👋
I recently launched HexTo — an all-in-one color toolkit for modern workflows — and we’ve just rolled out a big update packed with features inspired by your feedback.
⸻
🎨 What is HexTo?
HexTo is a browser-based color tool built for developers, designers, and accessibility-conscious creators. It started as a simple color code converter… and grew into a full-on color workflow hub.
⸻
✨ What’s New in This Update?
Here’s what we’ve just added:
✅ Color Harmonies Generator
Generate monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split, and tetradic schemes from any base color. Great for brand systems or UI themes.
✅ Contrast Checker (Now Visual)
Check contrast ratios with WCAG pass/fail indicators, and preview how your text and background colors actually look in context.
✅ Color Vision Simulator
See how your color choices appear to users with color blindness (8+ types supported).
✅ Palette Builder + Export
Create, view, and export palettes as JSON or image swatches. Share them or drop them into design/dev pipelines.
✅ Design Token Support
Define color names, organize them, and export as design tokens — perfect for scalable design systems.
✅ Dark Mode + Mobile Friendly
A responsive, fast interface that works just as well on mobile as it does on desktop.
⸻
🛠️ Why I Built This
I was tired of switching between 4+ tools just to manage basic color workflows — convert here, check contrast there, export somewhere else. HexTo is my attempt at solving that with one streamlined experience for both designers and devs.
