I Built an AI Platform That Lets You Create Your Digital Twin — Here's How It Works

Hi devs — I recently launched a platform called aimodeling.me, and I’d love to share what it does, how it works, and why I built it.

In short, it lets you create a realistic AI model of yourself — your own "digital twin" — from just a few selfies. After that, you can generate endless photorealistic images of you in any scenario, outfit, or setting you can describe.

Why I Built It

We’re all used to AI image generators now, but most of them produce generic faces or imaginary people. I thought: what if we flipped that? What if you could put yourself in those scenes?

Professional photoshoots are expensive, awkward, and static. I wanted a way to generate high-quality, personalized photos for myself (for social media, bios, content creation, etc.) without constantly needing to step in front of a camera.

So I built aimodeling.me — a platform where anyone can train a private image model of their own face, and then generate realistic outputs using natural language prompts.

How It Works

It’s dead simple:

  1. Upload 5–10 photos of your face (different angles = better results)

  2. The model trains in about 10 minutes

  3. Use a text prompt like “me as a cyberpunk detective at night” or “me in a formal suit in a studio”

  4. Get image results that actually look like you

The model is fine-tuned to your features, so the outputs are recognizably you, not just some random face that sort of resembles you.

Real-World Use Cases

Some of the ways people are already using it:

  • Dev profiles & avatars: Make your GitHub or portfolio pop with something cooler than a passport photo

  • Content creators: Batch-generate theme-specific selfies without needing a new photoshoot every time

  • Startup founders: Personalize marketing assets, pitch decks, and hero sections of landing pages

  • Creative fun: Put yourself in fantasy art, retro aesthetics, game characters, etc.

Privacy & Ethics Matter

As someone who built this from the ground up, I took extra care to make sure it's private and responsible:

  • Your photos are only used to train your personal model

  • Your model and outputs are not shared or reused

  • No photos are used to train general-purpose AI

  • NSFW content is filtered, and we’re transparent that these are AI-generated

Try It Out — and Let Me Know What You Think

If this sounds interesting, I’d love for you to try it:

It takes just a few minutes to get your model set up. No GPU setup, no prompt engineering headaches — just upload and start generating.

I'm actively working on improving the platform and adding new features, so if you have feedback, ideas, or hit any weird edge cases — I genuinely want to hear from you. You can DM me on here or reach out via the site.

Thanks for reading — I hope you have fun with it and create some wild (or useful) images of yourself!
