Surviving the Wild: 36 Days in the Amazon Jungle

This time the book of the week was: 36 Dias (36 Days in a direct English translation) written by Antonio Sena.

It is a short, five-hour book, but it tells a fantastic and miraculous story of how Antonio survived alone without extra resources in the middle of the Amazon after his airplane accident.

The book doesn’t provide super detailed information about everything that happened there, but it shows exactly how Antonio had to leave behind his ego and old mindset to evolve not only his mind but also his spirit and his faith in God.

This recommendation probably came to me because of other survival book I read in the last months: Endurance. IF you like extreme survival stories as much as I do, give it a try as well.

As usual, I listened to every detail of this book while performing my daily exercise routines. The narration was done by Irineu Toledo.

Unfortunately, I could not find an English version of this work, but it’s good for you to know that a Brazilian, Antonio Sena, did something incredible: he survived alone in the largest wild rainforest on our planet.
