Hello DEV community!
I'm excited to share a new initiative I'm building: GovAfrika Journal — a digital journal focused on African politics, democracy, governance, and cultural expression.
The vision behind GovAfrika is to create a platform where African scholars, activists, students, and writers can share insights, research, and stories that contribute to understanding and shaping democratic culture on the continent.
Currently, the project is hosted on Blogger as we explore options for expansion and development. We plan to eventually build:
A full-featured journal website
Submission and peer-review systems
Articles, opinion pieces, and academic essays
Multilingual support (especially African languages)
We welcome developers, writers, designers, and open-source collaborators who are passionate about:
Civic tech in Africa
Open knowledge
Academic publishing
Cultural heritage and democracy
You can visit the early version here: govafrika.blogspot.com
Feel free to connect, give feedback, or join the journey!
