Reports from the U.S. immigration department confirm that an increasing number of white South Africans are entering the United States through a new refugee program. This program specifically recognizes claims related to insecurity, threats against farmers, and a general feeling of lacking government protection.
Lawyers and human rights organizations state that most of these individuals have been granted asylum based on ongoing fear and targeted attacks on white farmers. The South African government has not officially responded to this development, but some local politicians have accused the U.S. of interfering in internal affairs.
So far, the exact number of accepted applicants is unknown, but sources indicate that hundreds of individuals have arrived in the U.S. between 2023 and 2025.
