Hargeisa, Somaliland — The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), has issued a powerful global appeal for peace, urging the international community to take immediate action to end ongoing conflicts around the world, particularly in the Middle East.

In his statement, President Cirro emphasized the urgent need for global solidarity, compassion, and the resolution of conflicts through peaceful dialogue rather than war.

“I call upon the international community to unite in the pursuit of lasting peace and global stability. Today’s world urgently needs solidarity, compassion, and an end to the wars that are fueling destruction and displacement,” the President stated.

🌍 Somaliland: A Voice for Peace from the Horn of Africa

President Cirro affirmed that Somaliland, though still seeking international recognition, is firmly committed to the principles of peace, coexistence, and diplomacy.

“Somaliland has always stood on the side of peace, dignity, and coexistence. We firmly believe that dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding are the only paths to sustainable solutions — whether in the Middle East, Africa, or anywhere conflict arises.”

He further urged key international bodies including the United Nations, African Union, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take immediate and coordinated steps to end hostilities and invest in long-term peacebuilding efforts.

“Somaliland is a voice of peace from the Horn of Africa — and we are ready to play our part in the global effort for peace,” he concluded.
