This week I hit 8 years on Dev. March 5 is my anniversary. This year I'm preparing this post ahead of time with a list of what I've done here. I joined DEV while trying to break into tech. Since then I landed my first role finished that contract. Had some sets back but back to hunting.

A large number 8. You received the Eight Year Club badge. This badge celebrates the longevity of those who have been a registered member of the DEV Community for at least eight years.<br>

DEV is one of the most welcoming Developer communities. It's a great place to meet people and learn. I lurked here for a long time till I started posting.
Lurk if you don't want to write but you'll get more out of the community if you comment on posts and engage with each other.

      Start.

The hardest part for me is to start writing the first words. Then continue. Write about what your are learning or building it will help you remember it better. Doesn't matter if you're new. Someone else is new can can learn from what you are doing,
