PORN Stack is Born... Pay attention please!

Have You Heard of the PORN Stack? 🤯

I don’t know if you’ve come across the PORN Stack yet, but here’s the deal:

PostgreSQL, OpenAI, React, and Next.js—together, they form an acronym that everyone recognizes. A bit controversial? Maybe. Addictive? Possibly. But undeniably powerful for building high-velocity apps.

Let’s break it down:

  1. PostgreSQL – A powerful, open-source relational database known for its reliability, scalability, and extensibility. It supports JSON, full-text search, and even vector data (pgvector) for AI-driven applications.

  2. OpenAI – Provides access to cutting-edge LLMs with a simple API. And since many models now strive for OpenAI API compatibility, it’s easy to swap in alternatives when needed.

  3. React – A mature JavaScript library that continues to evolve at a rapid pace, proving its staying power in frontend development.

  4. Next.js – A versatile, full-stack framework that enables different rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR) at the page level, making it incredibly flexible.

At Litlyx, we don’t use any of these technologies (just Next.js sometimes when i need to quick prototype a landing page for a specific reason).
Not because they’re bad—but because they’re too good to be used.

Instead, we prefer something even more stimulating and challenging: Nuxt 3 with Vue, enhanced with Tailwind CSS for styling and TypeScript for type safety. Now that’s what we call a NVTT stack.

What do you think about PORN stack? What about our NVTT Stack?

My first thought about PORN before I opened post was "Python, Oracle, React, Node/Next/Nuxt/Nest"
