In today’s world, small acts of kindness can make a big difference. WeDidIt is a non-profit organization that encourages people to volunteer and help others. It started in March 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and has grown quickly, with over 10,000 volunteers working to bring positive change.
Our Mission: Giving Back to Society
WeDidIt believes that helping others makes the world a better place. Their motto, "No one has become poor by giving," shows their belief that generosity benefits both the giver and the receiver. Their goal is to make volunteering a natural part of people’s lives and to create a culture of kindness.
Programs That Make a Difference
WeDidIt runs different programs to encourage people to get involved. One of their main initiatives is called "3 Hour Hero." This program asks people to give just three hours of their time to help their community. It is an easy and simple way for everyone to start volunteering.
WeDidIt works on important global issues, including:
• Helping poor people
• Fighting hunger
• Improving health and well-being
• Supporting education
• Promoting gender equality
• Providing clean water and sanitation
• Encouraging the use of clean energy
• Creating job opportunities
• Reducing inequality
• Promoting responsible consumption
• Taking action against climate change
Saving Future Lives: The Importance of Mental Health Education
The WeDidIt team strongly believes that mental health education is essential for a better future. Their goal is to make mental health awareness a mandatory part of education so that people can learn how to stay mentally strong and prevent negative thoughts, including suicidal tendencies.
Unfortunately, India has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. In the past, most cases involved farmers, but today, an increasing number of suicides are reported among students. WeDidIt aims to educate young people about mental well-being, helping them understand what is right and wrong and guiding them toward a healthier mindset. By spreading awareness, they hope to save future generations and create a society where mental health is prioritized.
Making an Impact
WeDidIt has been recognized for its hard work. In 2021, it received the 'Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship' award from The Economic Times. With more than 10,000 volunteers contributing over 30,000 hours, the organization has helped over 40,000 people.
