🚀 The easiest way tech influencers and content writers can make money 💰

Over the last two years, I have spoken to more than 100 founders. They have all faced the same problem - they couldn't find good content writers and influencers.

On the flip side, I have encountered many content writers and influencers having a hard time:

  • Getting work
  • Managing their orders
  • Keep themselves safe by earning money

That's where Gitroom shines

TL;DR: it's free. You can register and earn money.

Make money

Why is it different?

Today, Gitroom is one of the most prominent open-source communities for open-source founders. Many of them are funded — their problem is not spending money but finding the right people to spend their money on.

Next week, we will have a big launch for the new writers and influencers for the community - so you want to be there.

Gitroom is really similar to Fiverr.

  1. You list yourself on the platform. Founders contact you for promotion.
  2. You send them an offer per post.
  3. They pay for the offer, and their money will be held by Gitroom.
  4. You start to create posts from inside the system (Yes, Gitroom is a scheduling tool, also)
  5. They approve your post
  6. Once it is published, Gitroom will automatically send you the funds.

The trick about Gitroom is that the posting goes from inside of Gitroom, so you are 100% protected.

Safe

How to start

Head over to the Gitroom platform and register.

Gitroom register

Then, complete the onboarding; it's super essential that:

  1. You add your name, bio, and profile picture.
  2. Connect your Social media platform so you can offer them later.

Onboarding

Go into the marketplace as a seller, connect your bank account, and add your expertise.

Marketplace

I am done. What's now?

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ADD YOUR BANK DETAILS AND BUSINESS INFORMATION OR YOU WON'T SHOW UP IN THE LIST

Just wait for an email in your inbox about new offers.
Also, Gitroom is fully open-sourced.
So feel free to check the code and see if everything is okay.

You can also suggest new features / contribute some code :)

At the moment, you don't need to apply to be in the platform, but if I start to get a major amount of spam, I will change it.

Let me know what you think about the system ❤️

My social media scheduling tool is now also available at Postiz.

Nevo highlights the core problem here: "Their problem is not spending money but finding the right people to spend their money on."
Which is spot on, how to get the best ROI. And Gitroom seems to be a step in that direction.

    Keep going! 🚀

I dunno, I created an account, tested it, and now I don't want to keep it :)

It would be nice to have a option to cancel / delete account

Sometimes I like to dive in to a new (to me) product and figure it out as I go. Join me on my adventure!

Disclaimer: I'm not good with GUIs.

The only clue I have so far is that it's like Fiverr. I have a sketchy idea what Fiverr is, like rentacoder or something?

I should load my backpack up with some AC or a user journey definition. I want to find an example of someone offering something typical of the platform so I can get an idea what to expect.

    Perhaps that's under "get started"?

    ... no

Ok. I'm assuming I don't have to create an account and give up my financial details in order to have a browse around, so there has to be a link somewhere.

... as I scroll farther down the page, there are only newsletter signup widgets.

Ok. In the footer one of the links is "Find a Github library" and my interest is piqued. There are other links here with names like, "growchief", which means nothing to me. I ignore them.

I pause to wonder why the link to continue my Gitroom exploration might only exist in the footer - and why would it be only filtering for Github libraries? Is this an indication that Gitroom is limited to only working with Github? I'll jot that down to ask the Wizard if I find them.

Let's try it in case it takes me to a page where I can then navigate back up!

... I could be on to something.

I'm on a page that reminds me of Clanbase from the 90s and has a simple filterable list of repositories. I'm in my comfort zone. I still haven't found where I can hire people to do work for me, but this is closer.

Every repo listed has a button next to it saying, "add to twitter". If I click it, that changes to "remove from twitter". I do not know what this means, since if it was posting things on my behalf I'd (a) have to be logged into twitter and (b) have to have given it permission to delete old tweets and (c) have to be sometime back in 2023 when it was called Twitter. Every repo has a number next to the button which could indicate something, but it doesn't change when the button is clicked so I don't know what it means.

Ok, I'll navigate somewhere else... but this page no longer has a footer. Or any navigation, in fact. I'm in an information super cul-de-sac.

NP: I still haven't found what I'm looking for by U2.

    Help me, hidden Wizard!

Well the article is not about gitlibrary but Gitroom platform :)
So of course you won't find it :)

      You should start here:

Your idea for Gitroom addresses a genuine problem faced by both founders and influencers/content creators, offering a solution that bridges the gap effectively. Influencersgonewild often struggle with securing consistent, safe, and well-paying work, while founders find it challenging to locate reliable creators. Gitroom's approach—combining a marketplace with an integrated workflow and payment protection—provides a clear value proposition. By ensuring influencers are paid securely and can manage their work seamlessly through the platform, it builds trust and efficiency. However, to attract and retain influencers, emphasizing transparency, competitive fees, and robust support features will be crucial. Overall, Gitroom’s resemblance to platforms like Fiverr, while focusing on safeguarding creators and fostering a niche community, makes it well-suited for today’s gig economy.
