Wikidata, the free knowledge base hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, has launched WikidataStories, a global campaign under the Wikidata:Impact Stories initiative.
Running from May 6 2025, this initiative invites creators worldwide to share how they harness Wikidata’s open data to develop innovative tools, applications, and projects that educate, entertain, and address real-world challenges.
With over 117 million data items and 1.65 billion item statements, Wikidata powers a diverse array of community-driven projects. The #WikidataStories campaign aims to highlight these efforts, inspire developers to create new applications, foster global creator connections, and amplify impactful projects through Wikidata’s social media, blogs, and newsletters.

Licensed under CC0, its data supports Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia and powers innovative applications worldwide.
