Ever felt like the Law is a puzzle you can’t crack?
Recently, I was trying to educate myself about the Indian laws & legal works and I found this free e-book on Amazon called “Indian Law For A Common Man” which I finished reading in just one day. It’s a simple books with clear language. The author, Sree Krishna Seelam, breaks down all the legal concepts in different chapters. He explains how law works in different places and situations like your workplace. The book is short and simple; not boring , no unnecessary things but just enough information related to law that common people should know. It was helpful to me as common Indian citizen trying to figure out things in life. So this book will come to my rescue someday. This best-selling book doesn’t just explain laws—it provides real-life examples, practical advice, and actionable insights to handle everyday legal challenges. Whether you’re dealing with property issues, consumer disputes, or family matters, this book equips you with the knowledge to navigate them confidently.
This book has encouraged ordinary citizens to know and use the law in their lives. I’m not a fan of non-fiction and find it boring when I have to read an educational book even if it is important. But this book was not too long, draggy or boring. It did caught my attention so I’ll recommend it to everyone, specially those who find non-fiction boring.
Law is for everyone. Hence, not only law students but every Indian citizen has the right to know the laws and be familiar with their rights & privileges. Common people often lack the knowledge of the laws in our country. This is the reason why many people don’t know their rights. It’s not necessary to go through thick, academic books to learn law in daily life! This book is just enough to help us with law as common people.
I got to know an interesting thing about this book while scrolling through the author’s description, that is that all the proceeds of this book goes to MiddleMenAsia, a non profit initiative. Making justice affordable, accessible and transparent to every Indian.
