Hey DEV community! 👋
I'm super excited to share my submission for the Frontend Challenge: Office Edition hosted by DEV and sponsored by Axero. This challenge celebrates workplace culture and digital collaboration, and I’ve chosen the Holistic Webdev prompt to build something that brings value to every digital office space: an Upcoming Events App!

🧠 The Idea: Stay in Sync With Upcoming Events
In any digital office, keeping up with team activities, company-wide events, or even birthdays can be tricky. So I decided to design a clean, responsive "Upcoming Events" interface—perfect for an intranet homepage or dashboard widget.
The app helps teams stay on top of:
- 🗓️ Internal events
- 🎂 Birthdays
- 🎤 Company-wide webinars
- ☕ Standups and meetings
- ✨ Milestone reminders
🔧 Tech Stack
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- TailwindCSS – for utility-first styling
- Vercel – for quick and easy deployment
No heavy frameworks—just pure frontend magic with modern tools!

✨ Features
✅ Modern Office-Themed UI
✅ Responsive Layout (mobile + desktop)
✅ Event Cards with icons and labels
✅ Event Categories – distinguish meetings, fun events, and deadlines
✅ Smooth Hover Effects & Animation
✅ Future-ready Widget – easy to plug into a larger intranet app
💡 Why I Chose This Prompt
The Holistic Webdev prompt inspired me to think beyond a typical UI. I wanted to design a widget that’s useful, beautiful, and relatable to every remote or hybrid worker. Whether you’re working from a corporate HQ or your kitchen table, knowing what’s coming up helps teams stay aligned and feel connected.
🚀 What's Next?
I’d love to keep iterating on this and add:
- 🔔 Notifications or Reminders
- 📅 Google/Outlook Calendar Integration
- 🌐 Multilingual support
- 🛠️ Admin dashboard to add/edit events
🙌 Final Thoughts
This challenge was the perfect excuse to flex some frontend skills and design for the future of work. Huge thanks to DEV and Axero for organizing this—and for giving us the opportunity to create something office-inspired, yet imaginative.
