Hey DEV fam! I'm Riya — a CSE student from India who loves writing code (and a little poetry too 💌).
This month, I made my first open source PR to Fastify — and it actually got reviewed 😭💖.

💻 What I Did:
Tackled a beginner-friendly issue around ESLint rules.

Learned about proper commit messages, branch naming, and contributing guidelines.

Understood how real-world codebases are structured (spoiler: huge but fun).

🌱 What I Learned:
Open source folks are super welcoming.

Even "small" changes matter.

It’s okay to ask for help and make mistakes.

💬 What’s Next?
I'm planning to contribute every month and prep for GSoC 2026 — manifesting it ✨
