Hosting a game server is a great way to practice Linux sysadmin skills. Today, I'm sharing a workflow to deploy a Counter-Strike 2 server using SteamCMD and screen for session management.

The Stack:

OS: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Tooling: SteamCMD

AppID: 730
