Crack your next FAANG interview with this approach. Let's discuss what exactly you need to know about the interview process,

Rounds

Most of the companies have a general interview process. Let's discuss them all.

Resume Shortlisting Round

Your Resume is your digital face, in front of an Interviewer. A study shows a HR looks 7 seconds on an resume.

So, now you exactly know what to do. You have 7 second to impress the HR. So how will you impress the HR in just 7 seconds.

If you are a fresher, you can add unique projects to impress the HR. Use bullet points to explain the project, what is the technology you used, what is the features you built, what is the impact of the project.

Try to attach 3-4 projects if you are a fresher.

Your college background can be very much helpful, if you belong from a tire 1 college.

Online Assessment/Phone Screening Round

Online assessment rounds can be medium-hard. Generally in FAANG interview, you can expect leetcode medium to hard level question.

So be prepared for it. Contest in leetcode can be helpful, as it stimulates similar situation.

Always focus on your approach, don't copy from somewhere, the platform is intelligent enough to detect plagiarism and disqualify you.

Interview Rounds

Congratulations, you have successfully cleared the OA round. Bow it's the interview round. Now you will be invited to the actual interviews.

While interviewing, always remember it has a general trend to follow.

Be confident, start with your introduction. You should wrap your introduction in 40-45 seconds.

You can be asked some basic concepts in OOPs, Operating System, DBMS or Networking. It can last for 10-20 Minutes. Be prepared!

Next 45-60 minutes will decide you will be selected or not. Yes, it's the DSA round. The Interviewer will give you an Open ended question. Make sure ask relevant questions clear your doubts and You will be asked 1-2 DSA questions. Most interview experience says, the questions are from Graphs, DP, Binary Search, Two Pointers/Sliding Window.

Try to answer the brute force solution first, but don't code it directly. Conclude the time complexity.

Just say "I believe, we can do better", and ask "do you want me to optimise the solution?"

The interviewer doesn't looking for the brute force approach. He is looking for the optimised approach, so explain the optimised approach and code it out. State the time and space complexity, and its explanations. Follow up questions can be asked!

Final Round: Behavioural Round/HR Round

This is the last round, before getting the offer. Many companies name it differently, Like amazon calls this Leadership Principal Round. Google, Googleness round.

For this round, try to go through the leadership principal's of Amazon. And prepare the questions beforehand, so that you can directly answer any type of situations in the interviews.
