Doing well at your job sometimes feels like a dumb thing to care about. It feels like its a part of life that should be the least important, that living and experiencing the world is what its all about.

Other times work feels like the most important aspect of your life - something you would give anything for. Something that you are okay letting fill all of your mental and physical space.

Being ambitious, and being present - I'm not sure you can do both.
