How much work should take home assignments constitute?

For instance, if you're applying for a backend role, should you be required to build an entire API? Or should you just fix a specific bug? Or add a feature?

    Hello Patrick,

    Actually, it shouldn't be any of these. Because for the following:

    • You will need onboarding to the company system to properly work on the task
    • The scope is bigger than an assignment.
    • Usually assignments are challenges that show your capability and not to build something to function to their system.
