No towering stone, just patient, careful ground,
Where future dreams can make a steady sound.

You start by laying a foundation, which comes from childhood. What we read, observe, learn will always be there in your mind somewhere. Many of us has/had the privilege to attend schools or colleges.

“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”

“Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell”

We learnt this in our schools, right? Some might remember the above phrases, a few not.

Imagine, having a mental health class or mental health counsellor at your school. Would that not be easy, reaching out to someone with the issues you were meant to suppress or seeking guidance for your choices? Feels like a happy and peaceful state of being, right?
Then why is it that this our imagination, there are only questions but no answers and no one to ask to. Because you believe it or not, we are losing a human being sacrifice itself every 3 minutes in India.

You ask why it happens?

Well,

There are n numbers of factors that includes depression, anxiety, denial, family background, societal pressure and many more. Loosing a life because he/she was not able to clear competitive exams or achieve what one desired of them is heart- wrenching. This is the story of every 8 out of 10 families in India.

What’s next?

Every life has its own nature and a path to live. One has to step aside of the crowd, to teach others that life is not a one word rather a multiple-choice answer.
India: The Suicide Capital of the World - Mandate Mental Health Education in Schools is an act to sign the petition for mandating mental health education in schools. It is backed by Middlemen.asia and WeDidIt organisations. To file the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court 10,00,000 (1 million) signatures are required.

What to expect?

We all deserve a place where:
• Conversations about emotions and feelings are normal.
• Preparedness for real–life challenges beyond academics.
• Fostering empathy & safer communities
